Acton Mobile has an opening for a Dispatcher Coordinator based out of our Commerce City location.  This position is the single point of contact for customers who have ordered mobile offices from Acton as well as the point of contact for all vendors hired and for the drivers in the branches.  Excellent people skills and the ability to work effectively with all types of personalities is a requirement.  Strong computer skills will also be required for survival.  This position serves as the glue in the branch and is instrumental in good communication throughout the branches between all positions.  
Here is a run-down of the general day to day activities of a Dispatch Coordinator at Acton:
  • Handles all aspects of dispatching which includes but is not limited to legally routing the trucks, acquiring trip permits for deliveries and pickups, scheduling the deliveries, pickups, and relocations with clients; confirming site conditions and hours and completing follow up calls to clients.
  • Completes and distributes the proper paperwork and relays messages and instructions to Acton drivers or outside transporters.
  • Monitors and manages transportation expenses; completes the truck report. If required, keeps track of license and transporter tags.
  • Ensures that driver logs are accurate and up-to-date and that all DOT compliance paper work is properly maintained.
  • Processes delivery, relocation, and off-lease orders.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Greets and assists customers; answers incoming calls quickly and professionally; makes follow up calls to customers.
  • Inputs and retrieves data from the Acton computer systems.
  • Obtains lease agreements and certificates of insurance from vendors and clients if applicable.
  • Purchases supplies; ensures the office is well maintained and clean, files are up to date, and supplies are available.
  • Maintains client, trailer, and vendor files.
  • Handles incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • May help corporate service team with handling service calls which includes but is not limited to recording all pertinent information in Navision when a customer calls for a repair, distributes repair work orders to the branch outside service technician or to an outside vendor.
