  • Extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills.
  • Minimum 5 years overall construction experience, including exposure to procurement
  • Supervisory/foreman experience a must
  • Good driving record and valid driver's license required
  • Exceptional phone and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills required
  • Supervisory training; Must obtain OSHA 10 Hour & CPR / First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) a must
  • Intermediate computer skills a must
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within the region
  • Ability to work long hours when needed
  • Basic understanding of P&L preferred
Primary Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Actively supervise and assist the “Make Ready” and delivery process to ensure our customers receive timely delivery of a Trailer and/or storage container that meets Acton’s standards
  • Effectively plan and implement the production schedule and allocate resources necessary to meet demand while optimizing cost
  • Implement and oversee controls to plan and manage material inventory and maintain lean/5S culture
  • Takes responsibility for Service Technicians, Coordinators and Drivers’ performance as it relates to company goals, safety audits, and compliance with policies and procedures. Takes corrective and/or disciplinary actions to address deficiencies and policy violations.
  • Promotes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding and mentors new Service Technicians.
  • Reports to Branch Manager daily regarding the status of projects and upcoming activities/tasks.
  • Assists in resolving problems and/or delays as required.
  • Support Branch Manager efforts required to accurately assess condition of Returned Trailers and generate required Final Billing and work with customers to resolve any disputes
  • Support Branch Manager with Inspection of Trailers ready for Delivery
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve jobsite conditions that affect work performance.
  • Maintains all work areas to ensure an orderly and safe work environment
  • Assist in the preparation of subordinate performance reviews
  • Participate in the performance management process; Assist Branch Manager in delivering performance counseling messages to subordinates
  • Participate in planning discussions and formulate alternative cost saving strategies
  • Send and respond to messages via email; access necessary information via computer
  • Performs other related administrative tasks and duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
